Things to do

Cycling & Walking

The walk around Manvers Lake is about 1.25 miles (2 km), making it a pleasant and accessible route for all ages and abilities. In addition to the lake circuit, there are two scenic circular walks that also connect with the Trans Pennine Trail, ranging from 3 km to 5 km in length. You can download a handy map of all the routes from the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club website.

Wildlife

The parkland and lake is home to an abundance of wildlife for you to discover, observe and enjoy. Our circular lakeside walk is the most popular visitor route and looks especially stunning on a bright, sunny day.

Bring your camera if you're a keen photographer and you’ll find a variety of waterbirds and other species, especially around the lake and connected wetland habitats. The site is part of a network of wetlands that attract both resident and migrating birds throughout the year.

Watersports

We’re a private lake, so access to the lake and its facilities is reserved for members. Joining is quick and easy, and can be completed entirely online. With a single membership fee, you’ll enjoy access to all areas of the club - from thrilling watersports to a variety of land-based activities. See the clubs website here:
