Manvers Lake & Dearne Valley Trust is looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Facilities & Venue Assistant to help us keep our facilities clean, safe and welcoming for our members, visitors and the local community.

This is a practical, hands-on role and would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has great attention to detail and enjoys working in a busy community environment.

What will you be doing?

Your role will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining the Manvers Lake buildings and communal areas.

• Keeping toilets, showers and changing rooms clean and well presented.

• Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies.

• Setting up meeting rooms and other spaces for bookings and events.

• Checking rooms before and after bookings.

• Reporting maintenance issues, damage and health & safety concerns.

• Helping with the set-up and clear-down of events and activities.

• Providing a friendly and welcoming service to visitors, members and room hirers.

• Helping to ensure the surrounding areas are clean, tidy and presentable.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and organised.

• Friendly and approachable.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards.

• Comfortable carrying out physical tasks such as cleaning and moving tables and chairs.

• Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends when required.

• Ideally experienced in cleaning, facilities, hospitality, leisure or venue environments – although full training can be provided for the right person.

Location: Manvers Lake, Rotherham
Hours: 25 hours negotiable
Contract: initial 12-month fixed term contract
Closing date: 10th September 2026
Start date: Tbc
